Step aboard a festive steam-hauled train from Cambridge or London for a nostalgic journey to the historic city of York, where the Christmas Market and world-famous attractions await. Enjoy thrilling main line running behind a heritage locomotive, with plenty of time to explore York’s Minster, the Shambles, the National Railway Museum and more.
The Edinburgh Christmas Market – Saturday 22 November, 6, 20 December
Take a classic steam train to Edinburgh Christmas Market from York and race along the historic East Coast Main Line with stunning views of castles, the coastline and the Scottish Borders. Spend the afternoon exploring Edinburgh’s sights, shops and the famous Christmas Market in Princes Street Gardens before rejoining the train for the return journey.
The Bath and Bristol Christmas Express – Saturday 29 November, 13 December
Departing from either London or Three Bridges, the iconic No.34028 Eddystone will take you on a scenic journey to the historic cities of Bath and Bristol. You’ll have time in Bath to explore the famous Christmas Market, Abbey, Roman Baths and Georgian streets, or continue on to Bristol and stroll along the harbourside, admire the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge and enjoy some festive shopping.
Look out for Father Christmas and his elves who will be visiting many of the trains during the day and handing out presents to the children on board.
