Steam Train Tours in Europe

Our European programme of steam train tours includes many of the countries of mainland Europe. Some of the tours are entirely by train and make use of travel by Eurostar through the Channel Tunnel, an experience in itself.

We would especially draw your attention to new tours on offer this year including Winter in Austria, Bella Italia to Capri, and Alpine Adriatic to Split. Tours to Switzerland, Norway, and the Island of Sardinia continue to attract much interest which is not surprising given the spectacular scenery that these contrasting destinations have to offer. Eastern European countries figure increasingly in our programme and this year we have tours to the Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

Many of our tours use specially chartered trains just for our group, allowing more time for photo opportunities and leisurely lunches. We travel by day and stay overnight in good quality hotels. A tour manager will accompany most of our tours to ensure that everything runs smoothly and to help answer any questions.
