Where do they go? Destinations include historic towns and cities such as York, Chester, Bath, Plymouth, Worcester and Carlisle. There are trains to the seaside at Swanage, Weymouth, Lowestoft, Scarborough, and Skegness. Most of our trains allow time to visit the destination and discover its attractions.

What is there to see? A booklet that describes the route and what there is to see is distributed to passengers on our trains. A day trip by steam train is second to none for making the most of and enjoying the ‘views from the window’.

Our Day Trips by Steam Train recreate the nostalgia of a former era and provide an opportunity to relax and enjoy a day out with a difference. They are ideal for a group outing or celebrating special occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays.
